At The Learning Professionals, we recognise and respect the sacrifices our Defence Personnel make in the service to our Country. Several of the Senior Staff at The Learning Professionals are ex-Army Apprentices themselves.
If you completed an Army Apprenticeship or completed your trade via the RAEME Adult Trade Training system, we can map your automotive qualifications to the most current qualifications provided you have current industry experience.
With a very small amount of gap training, in most cases, ex-Army Apprentices will be eligible for the following qualifications:
- AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology*
- AUR40820 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling
Additionally, for those that have completed an A Vehicle or C Vehicle Repair and Maintenance course, you may also qualify for:
- AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
To be eligible for any of the above qualifications, you need to be able to provide copies of your certificates and course reports. Ideally, you would also need to provide a copy of your Army Apprentice Proficiency Record (Green Book).
ADF personnel receive discounts on your qualification upgrades:
1 qualification upgrade – $499
2 qualification upgrades – $799
3 qualification upgrades – $999
4 qualification upgrades – $1199
Additional gap training fees are $100 per unit of competency (if required)
